Busy Bee

Lately I have been a busy, busy girl.

Between work, mini vacations, social plans, working out and keeping up with my DVR, I have barely found time to blog.

Even though I have been sparse on my blog posting, I have 100% been able to keep up with my blog reading (that is one perk to being caged working in a cubical all day) and love following along with all of you on your blogs!

I promise to try to be better but you see, I have also been busy planning.

Planning big things.

Soon enough I will share my plans but for right now here are some inspirational quotes that have been helping me along the way.

I currently have a gallery wall of just pictures in my room. While these are some of my favorite pictures, they are all from college and the wall needs to be updated. I have been out of school for almost two years now and it’s time for a change. I will still keep some of the pictures but I also want to add new ones as well as some prints.

I have talked about [amanda catherine] designs before on here and once again, I’m lusting over her designs. They are simple, bright, fun and inspirational. What more could a girl want.

Balloons

There is something about balloons.

They bring us back to a childhood like state full of birthday parties and carefree attitudes.

 Today they are used for more than just a child’s birthday party. They have evolved over the years and now come in a rage of sizes, shapes and textures making them perfect to pair with a multitude of different occasions.

 These are just some of my favorite ways to incorporate them.

An engagement session: I love this. The beach, the balloons and the off-centered couple. Adorable.

 

  

A cruise: Boarding a yacht is already exciting, pair that with an amazing collection of colorful balloons and up the ante.

 

A special occassion: Waking up to a room full of balloons on your special day  

 

A Wedding: Under a bridge with bright, huge yellow balloons give this wedding party a private, unforgettable moment before the reception.

Thoughtful Tuesday

Pretty soon I am going to have to make some big decisions. These decisions have been weighing on me for some time now and I can’t exactly figure out the right thing to do.

I know what my heart wants but it’s conflicting with my mind.

But aren’t you supposed to listen to your heart?

Anyway, with the big decision getting closer and closer, this quote has been constantly on my mind.

Maybe I don’t have to have every thing figured out right away.

Just stumbled across this quote and had to take a quick break from work to share.

I think it describes me to a tea.

Paint us a garden

One of my main hobbies is stalking any and all wedding blogs and websites.

No, I am not close to getting married. Heck, I’m not even dating anyone (ya hear that Zac? I’m holding out for you, lucky one).

Most of the things I pin have to do with weddings and I have a secret fear that when I am finally ready to be married Pinterest won’t exist.

I’ll forget about all the amazing ideas I have come across.

This is one of those ideas that I never want to forget so I’m blogging about it.

An Australian couple had the most amazing rustic wedding (check it out here) and as each guest entered they had them paint one piece of a garden on a canvas.

The result is a one-of-a-kind and priceless piece of artwork.

Make It Count

You know when you think you have everything figured out? You can look ahead to the next six months and know what the future holds?

Then when you least except it, everything comes tumbling down and suddenly you are forced to start from square one.

That just happened to me.

Some may say it’s a blessing in disguise, I say it stressful and confusing.

After explaining my quarter-life crisis first world problem to my roomies something strange happened.

One roomie asked me to look up a random video a friend texted her about. That video is the one you will see below.

I believe in signs and that everything happens for a reason. Every quote in this video spoke right to how I’m feeling and gave me hope for the future.

I’d like to find Casey and thank him for this inspirational video.

And then maybe propose to him.

Unconventional Rustic

Whether it be in home design, event decor or interior decorating I’ve always been attracted to the rustic aesthetic.

One of my favorite aspects is using an everyday object in an unconventional way such as a mason jar as a drinking glass.

Lately I have been loving the idea of incorporating unexpected objects in home decor.
