Just a kiss

31 Jan

The Notebook was on tv the other day. While I didn’t actually watch it, you can bet I DVR’ed it so I will have it forever (or however long I live in this apartment with this DVR box). If I could live in a movie for the rest of my life, I would jump right into Ryan Gosling’s arms. Recently Ryan has been blowing up the Hollywood scene but let’s not forget his younger, romantic, ever-lasting love days.

There seems to be a common pose and scenario going on in these photos and I can only imagine how fun it was to perfect.

I hope you have seen the below clip (if you haven’t, sit down and remember to breathe) it was when the duo won Best Kiss at the MTV movie awards.

You’re welcome

I have could watch that 100 times.

Light Layers

For someone who rarely changes up her jewelery, classically simple pieces are a must. One of my most favorite brands, Gorjana, is constantly creating pieces that I could easily see becoming a daily piece of my wardrobe.

Blog Swap for Queen B

27 Jan
Happy Friday, Sprinkles on Everything readers!  My blog is Glitterista and I was super duper excited for the opportunity to participate in a blog swap for this week’s Friday’s Fancies hosted by {av}.  I was so fortunate to have Emmy as my partner.  A love of Gossip Girl, bright colors, bows, homes and clothes? Yes, please!  Thank you so much for having me.
The Royal Wedding of Blair Waldorf, Queen of the Upper East Side, is the event not to be missed on Monday, and I couldn’t wait to drool over fabulous accessories (and of course a fascinator), gorgey gowns, and shoes to die for while dreaming of the perfect outfit if I was on the guest list.  For a guest at this royal wedding, don’t forget your phone–you want to make sure you’re ready for a Gossip Girl blast or to make one yourself if something unexpected happens. 😉

Come on over and say hello! You know you love me. xoxo, Glitterista

I whip my hair back and forth

24 Jan

Tonight after work I am finally getting my hair cut. I haven’t done this since the Bruins were in the playoffs which was May. I was feeling ambitious last time I had an appointment and decided to chop off 6 inches. It was a little much and I hated how short it was. Needless to say I should have at least had a trim in the past ummm eight months…eight months! Wow.

As always, Pinterest is giving me some great inspiration as to what I may chicken out and never do tonight.

I don’t think I could ever cut my hair that short but I love how effortless it looks. (shout out to PLL!)

I don’t know if it is Whit’s perfectly tanned skin but that hair color is my envy.

If I could wake up every morning with my hair looking like that…I don’t think I would ever have another grouchy morning.

I wish I had the courage to die my hair something more like this..though I know I would never have the guts.

Things that make me happy today:

1. GG – – Can’t wait for the wedding next week!

2. The scalp massage that is coming my way tonight

3. New candles

Taylor Swift Vogue

23 Jan

It’s no secret that I am Taylor Swifts #1 fan. Self proclaimed, yes, but none the less her biggest and bestest fan (seen here, here and here). Her optimism and zest for life never ceases to amaze and inspire me and her latest article in Vogue was no exception. If you haven’t read the article yet, do It gives an insight into her daily life, thoughts, hopes and dreams. I love how humble and grateful she stays, always thanking her fans. When Vogue asked her “who can fill a stadium now a days” she responded:

“Um . . . Kenny Chesney, U2, and Paul McCartney. There aren’t many stadium shows anymore,” she says. “It’s no small feat, and I know that. When you walk out onstage in front of 65,000 people, it can bring you to tears. If you really take it in at the end of a song and you hear that many people screaming, it will make you cry.” -Taylor Swift

Not only was the article inspiring but the photographs were stunning. Shot by the über talented Mario Testino, the whole shoot was a different look than Tay normally goes for, think straight hair and 70’s inspired clothing. I think she looks beautiful and once again, never. ceases. to. amaze. me.
