I’ve recently been reading all about my astrilogical sign, Aries.

I don’t know about the rest of you but its accuracy is freaking me out.

I sometimes read my horoscope and those rarely apply to my life but the general personalty traits of an Aries are spot on for me.

Here are just a few excerpts, found here.

On Health:

The typical Aries woman has the physical stamina of a long distance runner. Generally healthy, these robust subjects have been known to stave off the flu through sheer willpower. Arians are simply too busy to be sick. As impervious as they may seem to harm, the same cannot be said for their emotions. As strong willed as they may appear on the surface, their feelings do get hurt and mostly because they don’t give themselves enough time to think before acting.

{My mom has told me too many times that I ignore sickness and because of that when I do get sick, it knocks me out. But it’s true, I would rather ignore my sickness and follow through with my plans aka hang out with my friends}

On Home:
Since the Aries woman is always out and about enjoying a multitude of different activities, her home is not as important to her as it is to other zodiac signs. You won’t find her painting a bookcase when she can be out having a good time. However, she is fully aware that her home is an extension of herself, therefore she must be satisfied with the way things look before she heads out the door looking for excitement.

{Again, so true. I love interior decorating and making my space look nice but only to an extent. If given the option of hanging out with friends or spending a few hours doing a DIY project..I would chose to hang out. Sometimes I wish it wasn’t this way but my FOMO gets in the way. Note: if you don’t know what FOMO is..feel lucky, it gets in the way of a lot of things}

On Love:
Because the Aries woman is inherently assertive, the man of her dreams will be a “real man.” If he is successful, then all the better for her; she likes to place her man on a pedestal (if he is deserving).

A romantic relationship with a sweet, quiet guy won’t work for her. It’s important to choose someone who will hold his own and will not intimidate easily, otherwise life will become way too boring for Aries. On the other hand, they dislike restrictions of any kind and a possessive relationship will end up going nowhere. That does not mean she won’t be a little possessive herself. She sees nothing wrong in that.

{Again, true. I like a real man, a manly man. Someone who will make me feel protected and be able to banter back and forth}

On Money:
The Aries woman loves to spend. She is the ultimate impulsive buyer. If she sees it and loves it, she buys it. Thank goodness she’s also good at making money, because her itch to fulfill her wishes is boundless.

{I wish this one were not true, then I would have way more money in my bank account}

These are just some of the highlights of “who I am” as an Aries. Basically it can be summed up in one easy way:

I like room for activities and hate being bored.

I encourage all of you to read about your sign. My roommates and I had a blast at how extremely accurate all of ours were to our personalities.

I’m Back!

14 Jun

I’m back from my road trip but have yet to upload any of my pictures to my computer so a recap will have to come later. I can let you know that it might be the best thing I have done to date. I highly suggest everyone go on a long road trip and see our country. I’ve always known our country was diverse in different areas but actually seeing how different each state is first hand is really amazing. I’ve been asked multiple times which state was my favorite or what would I love to see more of and honestly I don’t think I can choose a favorite place and if I had to choose where to go back, I would choose to visit all the states I didn’t get to.

I’m sure I can remember a time when I have been as busy as I am now. Between work, evening plans and packed full weekends, I barely have time to open my computer which is why I have been such a bad blogger as of late and things don’t seem to letting up anytime soon.

Today I am leaving work early to be filmed for a commercial for an event my company is hosting this fall. If you live in New England and watch NESN this summer you will be one of the lucky ones to see my television debut.

Then this weekend I am going to the Rascal Flatts with some of my best friends.

Road Trip

31 May

This Sunday, June 3rd, I am leaving bright and early to go on a road trip with my brother. We are both currently in the process of transitioning in life and the timing just seemed perfect.

I know it will be an experience I will always remember and look back on but I can’t help but feel a bit nervous. I’m 24 and my brother is turning 26 while we are on the trip. Being so close in age, as we get older we are becoming better friends so I know we will get along fine but I’m worried about being bored and restless. My extreme ADHD is bound to kick in.

I will be flying back on the 12th from Denver since I have to be back to work but my brother is driving the whole way and will most likely be gone a few weeks longer than me. I know we won’t be fighting or bickering but still, spending 240 hours straight with anyone is bound to build some tension.

Lucky for us, we are going to be spending each night with either a friend or family member so we won’t have to be spending money on hotel rooms which means we can spend more money exploring all the new places.

I hope to take many pictures of our adventures to share with you.

Incase you are wondering where we are going, I made a little map.

Day 1: Home to Washington D.C.

Day 2: Washington D.C. to Columbia, SC

Day 3: Columbia, SC to Hilton Head, SC

Day 4: Hilton Head, SC to Memphis, TN

Day 5: Memphis, TN

Day 6: Memphis, TN to the University of Kansas

Day 7: University of Kansas to Denver, CO

Day 8: Denver, CO to the Grand Canyon

Day 9: Grand Canyon

Day 10: Grand Canyon to Denver, CO (I fly home)

Phew, that is tiring just looking at.

Lucky for me, my brother told me I can choose the music for one hour a day. Wait, what?

Ugh, older brothers.

The posts are bound to be light for the next few weeks as I will be venturing across the country.

Wish me luck 🙂

Wordless Wednesday: Word Edition

30 May

I guess this is not really “wordless Wednesday” but I had some things to share.

As I’m sure you noticed I have been MIA recently. This is due to the fact that my personal, work and social life has been extremely busy. I feel like the energizer bunny and I can barely find a moment to sleep, let alone blog.

It makes me sad that I haven’t been as consistent as I would like but I know in the end all the hard work I have been doing will pay off.

Right now the quote below has been inspiring me. I listen to the song about 197483972342 times a day.

Dear Country music, you make everything better.

And here is the song:

Things that make me happy today:

Because I am not.

That is all.

2. Being productive
