Best Foot Forward

6 Jan

With the busy holiday season finally (and sadly) behind us, I finally have more time to devote to blogging which means I’m finally back to the Friday’s Fanices! This weeks theme is “Best Foot Forward”, I think {AV} nailed it with this theme, I couldn’t have thought of anything more appropriate for the first FF of the year.

Statement pieces are all the rage right now and shoes are no exception. One way to make a huge impact is with a lust-worthy pair of shoes, just make sure to keep the rest of the ensemble simple and leave the shoes as the main attraction.

2. Rachel Zoe Kayne Tassel Wedges – $375

3. T by Alexander Wang Classic Long Sleeve T – $81

Holiday Party

8 Dec

The season is among us, you know what I’m talking about, the Ugly Sweater Party season! While I am all for festive holiday cocktail dresses and sparkly skirts, my favorite theme is Ugly Sweater. Its super comfy and cozy and the pressure to look beautiful is never there. I usually play up the awkwardness of it and put a big green or red bow in my hair. Confession time: In the past, I have always borrowed a sweater of my mothers that don’t look that far off from the one below. Not sure why she still owns them but I’m not complaining! Head on over to visit {av} to see some more Holiday Party attire.

Boots: Minnetonka Front Lace Knee High Boots – $80 / Sweater: American Apparel Vintage – $35

Happy Easter

22 Apr

I’m heading home to my parents house for the weekend to celebrate Easter.  I’m planning an Easter egg hunt for all my cousins like we used to do when we were little. Instead of using platic eggs (which are basically unbreakable by little hands and perfect for competitive hunts) I am going to use real eggs that I will color myself. Feeling in the mood to insprire myself for this project, I decided to search for the perfect Easter outfit. Check out some of my picks below (all in appropriate Easter colors of course).
