Today’s piece, is actually two; Madewell’s Barnwood Boots. I have been lusting after these for a while but couldn’t justify buying them. I kept wondering if they were really practical or more on the trendy side. Working 40 hours a week, I have to be careful with purchasing ‘trendy’ pieces as most of them are not appropriate for the corporate setting. However, styled correctly, any piece can be made office appropriate you just have to be creative.
Following my own rule and mentally styling each new addition to my wardrobe in 3 distinct settings (work, casual and date night) I decided to tackle these boots to see if they could fit into my life. Well my friends, they do.
